Vitaly Beckman’s answers to frequent questions:
Q. Is you show “clean” and suitable for corporate events or family entertainment?
A. Yes. In fact I clean it everyday
Q. What makes your show different from other corporate magicians and entertainers?
A. First of all, the magic is unique and comes from my own vision. You won’t be able to see it performed elsewhere.
I also integrate other art forms with my performance. From music and theatre, to painting and photography. For example, in the show I make drawings and photographs come alive on paper or even come out of the picture.
Q. As a magician for hire, do you only perform on stage?
A. I perform in all kinds of venues, and different kinds of magic suitable for the venue and the event. From stage shows, to close-up magic, to roving and walk-around magic! If you are out of ideas for corporate events, you can choose from my services.
Q. Are you only a corporate magician or do you do other kinds of shows?
A. I don’t sing or dance!
Seriously, although most of my work consists of performing at theatre shows and corporate events, I’m also often hired as a wedding entertainer or for other private events and celebrations.
I’m also known for my theatre show - Sensation of Magic.
Q. What’s the meaning behind the name “Sensation of Magic“?
A. There are 2 meanings:
The show is about sensational, new feats of magic and illusion that came from my visions.
However, and perhaps, even more importantly, the show is about a feeling. A sensation. The Sensation of Magic. I think it is even more important than just merely performing new acts.
Q. When did you start creating the show?
A. I got into magic in my teens. However, most of the feats in Sensation of Magic were created throughout the past decade. I strive to conceive and add more acts, to constantly improve the show. It’s a never-ending process.
Q. I heard that your show is interactive. Do you select people from the audience?
A. Yes, the show involves a lot of audience participation, which is exciting and is always a great fun. It also makes every show special.
Some participate right from their very seat, some join me on stage to assist me.
People love it and are eager to join me on stage, because of the pleasant atmosphere in the theatre and because everyone is treated with kindness and respect. And if at first they were a little shy, by the time they need to go back to their seat, they are not in a hurry to leave!
Even people who didn’t get a chance to participate in the show feel involved, because this show doesn’t happen just on stage. The magic and wonder are experienced by everyone in the audience.
Q. Could you share a funny moment, that happened in the show?
A. Due to the nature of the show, there are a lot of funny and unexpected things happening each time.
For example, just recently, after having a volunteer come up on stage and assist me, he started dancing! It was totally unexpected and everyone loved it!
Q. What are your personal favorite pieces to perform?
A. It’s a really difficult question to answer, because “they are all my children!”
However, I really love the variety. I love to perform something silently to music, and then to do something fun and interactive with the audience.
Q. What drives you to create?
A. I have always loved the arts. And I have always wanted to make the impossible – possible, and then to share my vision of the world – as a world of wonder. A world where anything can be achieved, if the desire is strong enough.
Creating art and magic, allows me to accomplish that goal, as well as to fulfill my love for performing and entertaining.
Q. Is your theatre show Sensation of Magic, suitable for small children?
A. Sensation of Magic is a family show, however it is not a “kiddie show”. And although there is no age restriction, in general, I would recommend to bring kids at least 8 years of age or older.
Q. Is there a demo video of your theatre show Sensation of Magic?
A. Yes, a demo video of the show is available upon request.
Q. What if I have more questions?
A. Please feel free to contact me, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Well… except for the “How do you do it?”
